About Longhunter Society

Longhunter Society is a community dedicated to preserving the tradition of fair-chase hunting and the heritage of historic arms.

While the Longhunter Digital Record Book preserves notable harvests, the Society is more than a record system. Its is a gathering place for hunters, shooters, and enthusiasts who share an interest in classic arms and frontier-era skills.

Members will find stories from the field, gear and equipment resources, historical research, book and gear reviews, video content, and educational material covering traditional skills - from paper patching bullets and building bows and arrows to marksmanship with historic rifles and pistols.
